Dr. Micheala McCarthy is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in the upper extremity. She began her medical training at Creighton University for Medical School, followed by the University of Minnesota for her Orthopedic Residency. She then completed her Upper Extremity Fellowship at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA. Throughout her training, Dr. McCarthy had the opportunity to not only travel abroad on medical missions but also provide care for a variety of athletes. She enjoys learning patients goals to help best develop a comprehensive care plan.
Dr. McCarthy was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended Marian High School. She is thrilled to return home to be near her loud, large family, and to establish her medical practice within her home community. When not practicing medicine, she and her husband, Landen, love spending time with family including their new daughter. You will often find them outside on the family farm, exploring the outdoors or enjoying an athletic event. Dr. McCarthy is particularly fond of Ultimate Frisbee and Soccer.
