The Mid-America Orthopedic Association is a Midwest regional orthopedic society for orthopedic surgeons. The MAOA's was founded on April 7, 1982 with the purpose of "extending the Art and Science of Orthopedic Surgery."
MD West ONE's very own, Dr. Erik T. Otterberg, was named President of the MAOA for 2022-2023.
Dr. Otterberg graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center/Creighton orthopedic Foundation. He completed a fellowship in hip and knee replacement from Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Otterberg specializes in joint replacement with particular interests in complex deformities, revisions and new technologies.
Today, MD West ONE is honored to share his accomplishment in being named the President of such a prestigious association. Their annual meeting takes place in Sandestin, Florida on April 19-23. We want to wish Dr. Otterberg the best in hosting this event, and a huge congratulations from his MD West ONE family!
