Physician Assistant to Dr. Thomas Brooks

Kim Nelson, PA-C, is a physician assistant at MD West ONE. She completed her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.

Kim has worked for MD West ONE, formerly Midwest Neurosurgery, since 2006. She has worked with our Neurosurgery team for the last 19 years and has always had a love of medicine and being able to help others. Neurosurgery was an exciting specialty in which she enjoyed the transition between both the OR and clinic settings.  In 2025, she joined our Pain Management Providers, Dr. Brooks and Dr. Price. Kim appreciates spending quality time with her patients to educate them on their particular conditions and provide them with the best treatment options.

"Whether it be conservative management or surgery, I want to make sure they are comfortable with their decision. It is rewarding to be able to help my patients in their time of need, and I feel all of our surgeons strive to provide the best possible care."

Outside of work, Kim loves spending time with her family. Cheering on her two kids in their sports and activities is her favorite hobby, along with coaching some of their teams. Running has always been a passion of hers, and she enjoys competing in fun runs around the area.
