Dr. Fischer received his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the Creighton University/ University of Nebraska Health Foundation in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed further specialized training with a fellowship in sports medicine and adult joint reconstruction at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he was also participated in the care of athletes, including professional athletes of the San Antonio Spurs.
