Dr. Itay Melamed is a fellowship-trained vascular and endovascular neurosurgeon specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the blood vessels of the brain, head, and neck. He provides advanced, minimally invasive and surgical treatment for complex cerebrovascular conditions, helping patients receive timely, life-saving care for stroke and other neurological disorders.
His clinical expertise includes the treatment of brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) and other vascular malformations, carotid artery stenosis, Moyamoya disease, stroke, and other cerebrovascular conditions. In addition to vascular neurosurgery, Dr. Melamed also cares for patients with brain tumors, trigeminal neuralgia, meningiomas, pituitary tumors, and select degenerative spine conditions.
Dr. Melamed completed a fellowship in Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology at Goodman Campbell Brain & Spine in Indianapolis, Indiana. He completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, and earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Melamed enjoys spending time with his family and taking advantage of the outdoors.
