Neurosurgeon and Spine Surgeon, Guy A. Music, MD

Dr. Music joined MD West ONE (formerly Midwest Neurosurgery and Spine Specialists) in 2010. Born in Vinton, Iowa, and raised in southwest Colorado, he is a graduate of Colorado State University with a BS in biological sciences. After moving to Omaha in 2000, he attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center, completing medical school in 2004 and neurological surgery residency in 2010.

Dr. Music is a member of the Nebraska Medical Association, the Iowa Medical Society, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Music is a clinical assistant professor for neurological surgery at UNMC and serves on the trauma committees for Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

Dr. Music feels that patient knowledge is paramount for optimal outcomes and takes great pride in being a good communicator. His practice encompasses general neurosurgery involving the brain, spine and peripheral nerves, with an emphasis on spinal surgery involving decompression, reconstruction,  instrumentation and arthroplasty. In his free time, Dr. Music enjoys running, scuba diving, and working around the house with his family.
