Ultimate Baseball Academy of Nebraska is proud to announce it has formed a medical partnership with MD West ONE – the most comprehensive, locally-owned orthopedic, neurosurgery, and spine practice serving Greater Omaha. MD West ONE has been the official team doctors of the annual College Baseball Championship in Downtown Omaha for nearly 75 years, and they’ve provided medical coverage to college baseball athletes around the country. MD West ONE is also the official team doctors of Creighton University Athletics, including Creighton Baseball and Creighton Softball.
Ultimate Baseball Academy is Nebraska's premier indoor baseball and softball training facility, serving athletes of all ages and skill levels. By partnering with MD West ONE, UBA is taking a significant step in offering its players access to superior sports medicine resources, ensuring they can compete safely and recover quickly if injuries occur.
“We’re excited to provide this exceptional level of care to our UBA athletes and adult softball league players. This collaboration is designed to enhance their performance while providing them with direct access to the best orthopedic and sports medicine care in Omaha. We’re honored to provide this to our entire network of UBA players from youth to adolescents to adults,” said Larry Vavircek, Director of Operations at UBA Nebraska.
As part of this partnership, MD West ONE will offer comprehensive orthopedic care to UBA athletes and their families.
"We are thrilled to partner with the Ultimate Baseball Academy, which shares our commitment to the health and well-being of athletes," said Dr. Kimberly Turman, Sports Medicine Specialist at MD West ONE. Dr. Kimberly Turman is also a team doctor for Creighton Athletics, the annual College Baseball Championship, and Skutt Catholic High School.
All UBA athletes, adult softball league players, their families, and UBA staff, coaches and partners can directly access the UBA Nebraska team doctors from MD West ONE. These individuals may schedule appointments via a dedicated UBA online scheduling portal.
“MD West ONE’s goal is to provide the most efficient level of care to UBA members and their families so they can often be seen same-day or within 1 to 2 days of any orthopedic issue arising,” explained Dr. Justin Makovicka, Knee Replacement & Sports Medicine Specialist at MD West ONE. “We are here to be a true partner to UBA and provide a concierge service level to these athletes and their families,” said Dr. David Buck, Shoulder, Knee & Sports Medicine Specialist at MD West ONE and Midland University Team Doctor.
