Samuel P. Phillips—MD
Orthopedic Surgeon: Hip & Knee
Specialties
Hip & Knee
Dr. Phillips’ practice focuses on the management of hip and knee arthritis. His surgical expertise includes hip replacement, knee replacement, partial and uni-compartmental knee replacement, as well as knee arthroscopy. He also provides trauma care centered on the hip, knee, and femur.
Dr. Phillips provides advanced technologies and alternatives, especially for younger arthritic patients. If surgery is required, he relies on multimodal pain management options which provide a great advancement in how potential discomfort is managed following surgery. He is originally from Canada and completed fellowships in the knee and hip replacement in London, Ontario, and Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Phillips is a native of Canada and has been in orthopedic practice in Omaha since 1994. In his free time, he enjoys barbecuing, and watching and playing ice hockey.
“My practice philosophy is to treat my patients with the most up-to-date, evidence-based treatments that are proven reliable. I stress a conservative approach, pursuing non-surgical options before proceeding to surgery. I spend a great deal of time with my patients, making sure they have all their questions answered and that they are well informed of their options and treatment plans.”
